IT & Telecoms Support Engineer

What are we looking for?

Somebody with good 1st/2nd line IT technical support skills who has worked in an IT Support role for at least 2 years. Somebody who can talk to customers and build professional working relationships with our customers. You will in effect be the shop window for Spire Technology Group, customer service is the most important credential for this role.
You must be willing to grow with the company, bring your ideas and skills with you and we will develop and train you.

The role

The role of an IT and Telecoms Support Engineer will be varied, you will be providing helpdesk support to a wide range of customers. You will be involved in building workstations, laptops and projects that involve installing workstations, laptops and servers.
You will also be involved with and trained on the following systems/technologies

• Avaya IP Office
• Mitel
• Horizon
• 3CX
• Mobile Technology
• Connectivity inc ADSL, FTTC, FTTP, Fibre Ethernet and MPLS

You will need to have excellent communication skills, be confident on the phone and can talk customers through fault finding.
You will need a good understanding of

• Windows Desktop and Server operating Systems
• Unfi Wifi Devices
• Microsoft office 365 platform
• Anti-Virus products
• Working remotely
• Computer hardware
• Office 365
• Windows server operating systems
• Any telecommunications experience would be advantageous
• Watchguard and Draytek Firewall technologies
• Veeam backup

Qualifications and Education Requirements

2 years in a helpdesk or support role
GCSE English, Maths, Science – Grades A – D
Any Computers qualification would be an advantage
Clean Driving License & Car
