Barry Shaddick Tyres provides a 24hr breakdown tyre supply and fitting service supporting national fleet providers, road haulage contractors and all other commercial vehicle operators.
With six regional depots and service personnel working nationally, a failsafe mobile phone service is business critical for this organisation.
The mobile phone requirement opened the door to the delivery of additional support services including essential internet connectivity upgrades and an improved and fully integrated IP hosted telephone system.
The company was aware that the existing Panasonic telephone systems were reliant on ISDN technology that would be withdrawn in the near future. It felt that it was time to consider a unified office telephone system which would integrate the six sites using the latest voice over the internet (VoIP) technology.
The new telephone system also had to integrate with the company’s mobile phoneusers, giving the ability to transfer calls easily between mobile and office telephone users.

The new mobile phone plan was framed to meet the needs of all personnel including the geographic requirements of field engineers.
Proactive account management, including tracking of mobile data use, along with built in resilience for business continuity was also included.
