ICT Field Service Engineer
Employment Type: Full ‑Time
The Role
As an ICT Field Service Engineer, you will be a key part of our customer-facing technical operations. The position involves frequent on-site visits to client premises, delivering hands-on technical support and building strong customer relationships. You will work with a diverse range of technologies across multiple sectors.
You will provide a mixture of remote and on-site support, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and always ensure an exceptional level of service. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as you will guide customers through troubleshooting steps and represent the organisation during site visits.
Responsibilities
- Provide extensive on‑site support, acting as the primary technical resource during customer visits.
- Conduct regular scheduled and reactive site visits to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues that cannot be handled remotely.
- Perform full on‑site system reviews, including workstation, server, and network health checks.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networking hardware, and peripherals during site deployments.
- Carry out on‑site network troubleshooting, including cabling checks, switch configuration, Wi‑Fi optimisation, and fault isolation.
- Support customer office moves, on‑site equipment rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide remote support for hardware, software, and network issues when not on-site.
- Collaborate with vendors to identify issues and implement fixes.
- Conduct regular system maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, updates, and physical server checks.
- Manage and maintain infrastructure including Windows Server, Windows OS, Azure AD, Active Directory, and Office 365 environments.
- Document and track all support activities using our ticketing system (Halo PSA).
- Assist with bespoke software installations and updates.
- Support the resolution of network-related issues including VPN, LAN, DNS, and firewall troubleshooting.
- Work closely with team members to deliver IT and telephony technical solutions.
- Participate in out-of-hours maintenance windows (e.g., server updates, project rollouts) where required.
What We Need
- Experience with Windows Server, Windows Operating Systems, Android, iOS, and Office 365.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VPNs, LANs, DNS, and Firewalls.
- Experience with backup and recovery platforms such as Veeam and Acronis.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange administration.
- Experience supporting cloud migrations (e.g. on‑premises to cloud).
- Knowledge of anti-virus deployment and maintenance.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting DrayTek firewalls and modems.
- Hands‑on experience with Ubiquiti networking hardware.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for both remote and on-site interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment.
- Willingness to travel, including to non‑local customer sites.
Nice to Haves
- Understanding of 3CX and other VoIP/telephony platforms.
- Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- GCSE English, Maths, and Science (Grades A–D) or equivalent.
- Relevant computing or IT qualification (or equivalent professional experience aligned to the required 5 years).
Must Haves
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within an IT support role.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and access to own vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.

Service Delivery Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Delivery Coordinator to lead various technology-related projects, including fibre broadband service delivery operations for our IT and telecommunications projects. In this critical role, you will manage the entire customer journey, from initial service orders through network provisioning, installation coordination, and service activation, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects, including high-speed fibre connections, while maintaining exceptional service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end service provisioning from initial customer request through live service activation.

Conduct detailed address validation and location-specific service availability
- Coordinate installations with internal technical team and external contractors
- Track installation milestones and maintain real-time visibility of service delivery pipeline
- Manage order amendments, in-flight changes/delays, service upgrades, and technical relocations for existing customers
- Manage existing service upgrades/regrades
- Coordinate with wholesale providers for infrastructure access
- Manage UK and international number porting orders
- Ensure compliance with Ofcom regulations, industry codes of practice, and customer service standards
- Manage hardware installations to include routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi components and associated customer premises equipment
- Manage detailed customer updates and expectations during service delivery
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the telecommunications and/or IT service industry, specifically connectivity delivery and number porting
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products
- Understanding and experience with wholesale connectivity products, including business fibre services, leased lines, and managed network solutions
- Service Delivery Focus: Strong commitment to customer experience and service quality
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve 3rd party installation challenges and technical service issues
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent coordination skills for managing multiple contractors, suppliers and internal teams
- Strong communicator (oral and written)
